I don’t understand. The cryptic network statement of cancellation. The indication that ratings are low for this fantastic series.

I barely found the show on AMC. Then I couldn’t get enough of it. How can you expect ratings if you don’t advertise sufficiently? Is not the test of a good show that the viewer is angry when the episode ends, still hungry for more? You left the fans with their stomachs growling.

Rubicon is thoughtful, intriguing television. Let’s start treating audiences as if they have a brain. Continue the series and act like you have a brain.

Well, my Aunt, is not too pleased with the non-renewing of the season, as it is/was made for an intelligent minded audience for once. What a great loss for those of us who like the cerebal stimulation. Certainly not going to watch the Walking Dead. Ridiculous choice of cancellation.

I guess I’m coming late to the party. Just found out Rubicon is not being renewed. I guess I just assumed that such a high quality show was a sure bet and just now started looking for info on when the new season would begin. After every episode I was left pondering the twists and turns in the plot line and trying to work out in my mind where it was headed. Unfortunately for us a very large proportion of the viewing public today has the attention span of a gnat. Any show that makes them think too hard brings an immediate switch to the latest piece of crap reality show. How sad!

Bad news from the DirecTV front…this Chicago Tribune article indicates that DirecTV will no longer look to salvage canceled programs. Instead they are looking to other country’s programs.

is this post sarcasm? I can’t tell. I’m sure we all love Rubicon here but the show had very anemic ratings. That doesn’t mean it wasn’t a quality show but it apparently didn’t build an audience as AMC hoped.

AMC Folks: Only reason anyone is watching the Walking Dead is because they saw previews on Rubicon. You have to reconsider and renew the show.
Rubicon is a compelling story, a smart storyline with great acting. The characters are all a bit flawed much like in real life that is what makes this a unique show. I agree with many that it was a bit slow at first but that in itself is a refreshing change from other shows that change directions every 8 seconds.

Rubicon gave AMC its best ratings ever, at least for 14 weeks. AMC do the smart thing and renew Rubicon. I along with countless other viewers did not watch any AMC programming prior to Rubicon, and I am now open to idea of MAD MEN and Breaking Bad. Do not turn us new AMC viewers away now.

This is a sad day!! I thought the series had real potential. I emailed DirecTV and asked them to put a second series on their 101 Network. They rescued “Damages” on the network.
